WRITING A RESEARCH PAPER (SNS RESEARCH ORIENTATION): 2 JUNE 2022 - RESEARCH CELL IN ASSOCIATION WITH DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH (EUNOIA)

The Department of English (Eunoia) at St Francis College organized a session entitled “Writing a Research Paper” on 2 nd June 2022. The objective of the session is to encourage and cater the students on structuring the research paper and motivate them to write research paper in the upcoming Students National Seminar. Dr. Noor Nigar was the resource person of the session. The faculty members from the Department of English and 150 students across all the streams (B. A, B.Sc., BCA, B. Com, and BBA) were present for the session.

Dr. Noor Nigar explained that research papers are similar to academic essays, but they were usually longer and more detailed assignments, designed to assess not only one’s writing skills but also writing skills in scholarly research. She explained step-by-step guide which would help the students from understanding their writing papers to proof reading their final draft. The team members’ brain stormed and had chosen an area of research with appropriate title. The students felt the session was very fruitful and productive.
