KNOW THE HARDWARE - SOCIAL OUTREACH ACTIVITY: 12 MARCH 2022 - DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS

The Department of Computer Applications conducted a social outreach program in the Sarkari Kiriya Prathamika Shale (Government Primary School), Kammasandra on 12th March 2022. The students of 1 & V semester BCA oriented the primary students of standard 1 to 7 on hardware components "Know the Hardware''.  The main objectives of the activity were to give educational support for children and out of school individuals. These types of outreach program, also built avenues that people can thrive with support.

The broad objective of the outreach program was to inculcate technical competence among the school students and to develop skills for learning. The students of the department explained the basics of computers and also emphasised every component on the motherboard. An outreach programme is a complete entanglement between the community and institution. Outreach activities develop learning and applying knowledge to studies, community services, a sense of responsibility towards the unreached communities. For the student’s volunteers of BCA, this outreach program was experiencing the joy of sharing knowledge. Being stewards of inspiration and encouragement contributes to building empowered stewards of change.
