STUDENT NATIONAL SEMINAR ON “DIGITALIZATION IN THE PRESENT EDUCATIONAL SCENARIO”: 24 JUNE 2022 - DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES, POST- GRADUATION CENTRE ECONOMICS AND POST- GRADUATION CENTRE PSYCHOLOGY IN COLLABORATION WITH RESEARCH CELL

The Department of Humanities, Post- Graduation Centre Economics and Post- Graduation Centre Psychology in collaboration with Research Cell organized SAMVADA- One Day Student National Seminar on the 24 th June, 2022. The major objectives of Student National Seminar are as follows:

To enhance the research knowledge in depth for both the Under- graduate and the Post- Graduate students.
To make students understand and comprehend the skills of critical evaluation and integrative discussion.

The resource person was Dr. Karamala Areesh Kumar, who is an Assistant Professor at St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Bangalore. He was awarded his PhD from JNU, New Delhi. He is currently into the BOE position at Surana College (Autonomous), Bangalore. He spoke about the various changes that has happened in the field of education and how the digitalization has become a common part in every student and teachers’ life.

Later on, the offline paper presentations were commenced. The students showcased their presentation skills and their research skills. The papers were evaluated by External judge exclusively and the internal judge was just monitoring all the presentations. The final judgement was based on the scores given by the external judge.

From the many papers that were presented, one of the best presenter awards was awarded to Ambika Singha and Steffi Joseph from II BSc CJP, which was titled “Psychology and application in the digital era: the impact of digitalized era on modern psychology”.
