INTERNATIONAL WEBINAR ON PLAGIARISM: 21 MAY 2022 - RESEARCH CELL OF ST. FRANCIS DE SALES COLLEGE

To promote research activities in the campus, on 21 May 2022 the research cell organized an International Webinar on Plagiarism. The main objective of the webinar was to develop an understanding about plagiarism and academic integrity as well as to familiars the research community about the tools and techniques of plagiarism. The resource person for this session was Dr. Ghofur, Associate Professor of Language teaching at State Islamic Institute of Madura, Indonesia and Dr. J. Pavithra, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies, Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai, Tamilnadu.

The session was started with a welcome address by Dr. Nebula Murukesh, Coordinator, Research Cell and Asst. Prof. Archana R, Coordinator, IQAC inaugurated the session. Dr. Ghafur gave an informative and exhaustive talk on plagiarism and academic integrity. Dr. Pavithra detailed on the techniques to detect and avoid plagiarism. The session proved to be very much informative and the participants cleared their queries through discussions and have shown interest to attend such events in future.
