Orphanage Visit

On 2nd of September 2018, 50 NCC cadets of St Francis De Sales College had visited Yarab Educational Trust which is located in Attibele, Bangalore.

Yarab Educational Trust (YET) is an Orphanage/Home based in Bangalore, it is a non profitable organization registered with Government of Karnataka, and they are currently running a home on the outskirts of Bangalore which hosts more than 100 abandoned children. As part of social service we went with a wonderful concept of motivating the children. We made the children to come forward on the stage to showcase their talents. Our Cadets gave brief information about NCC. Later we demonstrated them how we NCC cadets perform drill. We explained them about how to do first aid and how to react to situations of any major animal bites and even major diseases. Later we planted saplings around the orphanage by teaching them the importance of planting saplings. Information on first aid and how to handle animal bites was shared. Later plant saplings were distributed.

In the afternoon after meals, songs were sung along with dances with the children. The evening time was spend in having activities like football and volleyball and drawing competition. Prizes to the winners of various activities, in the form of medals were given to encourage the children. Finally, notebooks, writing materials, groceries and sports materials were given to the children.

We distributed the prizes to the winners of various activities conducted, in the form of medals to encourage the children’s.
