NATIONAL CANCER AWARENESS DAY OUTREACH PROGRAM: 7 NOVEMBER  2022 - DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

The students of the Department of Business Administration (Regular & Aviation), St Francis de Sales College, conducted National Cancer Awareness Day program on 7 th November 2022 at Moulana Azad School, Electronic City with 12 student volunteers. The objective of the program is to raise awareness about cancer and avoid cancer-causing lifestyle choices. 

The Outreach program enables the students to meet the daily demand faced by the people in the community for counseling, support, and direction and also assists many basic necessities such as discipline in life, awareness of health, and how to prevent risk and harmful habits.

  Desalite Sajan and Ruchitha gave their presentation with the help of a chart on common cancers in the community and myths and taboos related to cancer. Desalite Priya N suggested the students follow a healthy diet, be physically active, and avoid junk and processed food. Desalite Ruksar and the team performed a skit regarding the common risk factors and warning signs of cancer. Lastly, Desalite Sajan sang a motivational song on cancer awareness. The above activities focus on non-formal education, career counselling, and social awareness. A total of 60 students participated in the program and they identified the program as effective and informative.
