EFFECTIVE DEVELOPMENT OF BEST PRACTICES AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTINCTIVENESS FOR
NAAC ASSESSMENT AND ACCREDITATION: JULY 6, 2022 - IQAC AND BEST PRACTICES CELL
The workshop on the topic “Effective Development of Best Practices and Institutional Distinctiveness
for NAAC Assessment and Accreditation” was conducted for the teaching faculty members of SFS
college on 6th July 2022 organised by IQAC and Best Practices Cell. The resource person Dr. Justin
Nelson Michael is a Professor from the School of Management and Directorof the Centre for
Research, Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous) Bengaluru.
Dr. Justin Nelson Michael delivered in detail about what is a best practice for the educational
institution and gave an orientation on what are all the best practices followed by other colleges. To
develop a best practice and institutional distinctiveness he claimed that the following points were to
be followed: Identification, Implementation, Institutional success, Documentation, and
Dissemination.
A total of 80 faculty members gathered in the New Auditorium (IV Floor) for the workshop, where
they were oriented on the best practices and institutional distinctiveness and gave hands-on training
on the same. The faculty were able to relate their sense of belongingness to the college. The
objective of the workshop to create a sense of awareness and involvement in the NAAC process was
achieved through the workshop.
