Movie Screening: Oliver Twist: PG Dept of English - March 13, 2019

The PG Department of English screened the film adaptation of Oliver Twist, one of the most popular novels of Charles Dickens, in the Seminar Hall on 13th March, 2019. Having read the novel, the PG students were curious to watch the film version of the same. Many popular fictional characters like the innocent Oliver Twist, the villainous Fagin, the benevolent Mr. Brownlow, the helpless Nancy came alive and hence, the students were able to trace the pathetic life of Oliver Twist during the Victorian era. Specifically, the film representation of the Victorian society captured the attention of the students. No doubt, the screening of this movie made them revisit the British historical past.
