INFINITY GUEST LECTURE SERIES: 20 APRIL 2023 - THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES IN
ASSOCIATION WITH THE RESEARCH AND IP CELL
The Department of Humanities in association with the Research and IP Cell organized Infinity Guest
Lecture Series on the 20 th April 2023 for the UG students (BA). Nearly 40 students participated in the
session.
The resource person for the day was Mr. Sachin Tantry, Manager Communications at Bangalore
Political Action Committee (B.PAC). Bangalore Political Action Committee (B.PAC) is a non-partisan
citizen’s group that aims to improve governance in Bengaluru and to enhance the quality of life of
every Bengalurean. B.PAC is specifically targeting good governance practices, integrity and
transparency in all arms of the government, improving the quality of infrastructure in the city,
identification and support of strong candidates for public office at all levels of governance and the
creation of a safer city.
The lecture was about political science on the topic “Political Communication in the Digital Era”. The
major objectives of this session was to bring in and make students understand the different subject
matters in various perspectives and also engage students in new area of subject interest. The
students gained and learned more insights on political communication and how the same has
transformed gradually in the digital media.
