Having welcomed Dr. Harish M. G, Asst. Prof, Govt First Grade College, Chanpatna, the session was lead by the Speaker of the day.

The Speaker began the talk with a quote

'Today's education is nothing but the indoctrination of the youth' by Chomsky. He pointed out that the students of Literature today, tend to choose the option of sticking only to what they are taught and read from the text book as they lack creativity. The beauty of literature lies in the beauty of imagination and revelation of truth. A man without imagination becomes cruel and stays cut off from the world. Referring to Hitler, Dr. Harish drove home the point that the feelings of the poet play a vital role to know a literary work of art better. He insisted on to be committed readers not detached ones.

Dr. Harish touched upon the areas of Insight and Complexity to know a character's true intention and true nature of human experience.

Writing is not just focused only in terms of examination; in terms of widening interpretation skills too. He highlighted 4 C's - Communicate, Collaborate, Creative and Critical Thinking.

The session meant for interaction really witnessed a fruitful harvest. The questions posed by the students were very effectively answered. The students of Literature were highly benefited by the session with the excellent support of the Principal, Vice Principal and Department.
