INFINITY GUEST LECTURE: 19 APRIL 2023 TO 20 APRIL 2023 - RESEARCH AND IP CELL IN
COLLABORATION WITH DEPARTMENT OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
IN ASSOCIATION WITH JYOTI NIVAS COLLEGE
An Infinity guest lecture series 2023 was organised at St Francis de Sales College on 19 th and 20 th of
April 2023 by the Research & IP cell in collaboration with the Department of Business Administration
and in association with Jyoti Nivas College, Bengaluru. This lecture series was organized to refresh
the trends and applications of the dynamic world of research in various disciplines through persons
who have proven their expertise in their respective fields of study.
The first session was conducted on 19 th April 2023, which was handled by Dr. Josephine Narmadha
for the II and III year students of BBA (Regular). Dr. Josephine Narmadha is the Dean and HOD, of the
Department of Commerce & Management at Jyoti Nivas College, Bengaluru with 20 years of
experience in teaching. She published articles in national and international UGC care list journals. Dr.
Josephine gave her presentation on Investment in yourself and explained the best ways to invest in
paper assets and their importance. She concluded her session with Warren Buffett's quote “The best
investment you can make, is an investment in yourself. The more you learn, the more you'll earn.”
The second session was held on 20 th April 2023 which was taken by Ms. Lincy Joykutty for the I year
students of BBA (Regular). Ms. Lincy completed her Master of Business Administration and qualified
NET and working as an Assistant Professor at St Joseph College of Law, Bengaluru with 13 years of
experience. She presented and published various research papers in UGC Care List journals. Her
topic for the session was Sustainability Marketing. She explained how the environment, society, and
economy influence market sustainability and made the session more interactive with students to
understand the concept of sustainability marketing.
The third session was conducted on 20 th April 2023 and was exclusively for BBA Aviation. Ms. Rachael
Kharshong, a native of Shillong was the speaker for the event who have great experience as first-
class cabin crew for Emirates Airlines. The main motive of the session was to give the students an
insight into the ‘Life of a Cabin Crew’. Ms. Rachael took the students through the experiences she
went through from interview selection process and training to working in the Aircraft. Ms. Rachael
was also able to share the benefits and additional perks the cabin crew would get once they
completed their training and probation period.
The guest lecture series gave the students a better opportunity to learn about an explicit topic and it
was a great opportunity for the students to connect with professionals and create meaningful
learning connections. It was a very knowledgeable session and useful for the students.
