GLOBAL DAY OF PARENTS: 1 JUNE 2022 - PSYLIGHT CLUB, POSTGRADUATE CENTRE IN ASSOCIATION WITH COUNSELLING CELL

The Global Day of Parents is commemorated in the month of June every year to honour parents. PsyLight Club, Postgraduate Centre in association with Counselling Cell celebrated “Global Day of Parents” on 1 st June 2022. The Day aims at raising awareness about the importance of quality parenting and family life in every child's upbringing. The event was open to the entire campus. Students were instructed to write a letter to their parents, read it to them and get a reply from parents. The best message and reply were awarded with appreciation certificates. The attempt of the event was to bring in awareness which made students to think of expressing their love towards parents. Some of the entries were extremely beautiful and creative.

Students could think about expressing their feelings to their parents. This helped them to build their relationship. Parents felt happy about being acknowledged. Objective of bringing awareness about expressing gratitude and love to parents was attained. Challenges were also identified, which gives scope for improvement and rectify the issues.
