WORLD ANTI-TOBACCO DAY - “COMMIT TO QUIT”: 31 MAY 2021 - DEPARTMENT OF
HUMANITIES IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE HALCYON ACADEMY
The Department of Humanities in Association with the Halcyon Academy organised a Poster Making
Competition in connection with the World Anti-Tobacco Day celebrated on the 31 st of May 2021. The
theme for this year’s World Anti-Tobacco Day was “COMMIT TO QUIT”.
The major objective of the conduction of Poster Making was to bring in awareness among the
students on the World Anti - Tobacco Day. The students expressed their thoughts, views, slogans
and quotes. The students showed a lot of enthusiasm and zeal towards the event that was
conducted. Because of the pandemic situation, students were asked to do the poster and mail it to
the faculty concerned. The students expressed their views keeping in mind the theme of the event.
Since it was the Association activity, any student could participate in the event. Every student had
their own interpretations and ideas while doing the Poster. The final judgement was made by the
Co-ordinator of the event, Prof. Lakshmi Balakrishnan. The rubrics of judging the event were
Originality, Clarity of Expression, Uniqueness and Closer to the Theme.
