CAREER GUIDANCE SESSION ON “BRIDGING GAP FROM CLASSROOM TO CORPORATE”: 6 NOVEMBER 2021 – DEPARTMENT OF BCA

A session was conducted by the department of computer science for the final year BCA students, briefing them about the project they are supposed to do. The session was done by Ms. Jayashree from Digitage technologies, E-city. Ms Jayashree has over two decades of experience in IT industry during which she has headed various functions responsible for both top and bottom lines across multiple goes in India and Global IT majors like Cap Gemini USA, TCS, MindTree and Wipro.

As education systems are diversifying and expanding, the creation of new jobs and opportunities are changing the way individuals make their career choices. Career guidance is the process of helping individuals in making adequate educational and occupational choices and in taking career decisions based on the demand and requirements of the future work.

She enlightened the students on the topic Python, AI/ML driving the business innovations today and tomorrow. How machine learning is driving the world and what a student can do for a project using python and ML. She then explained about Python - the programming language and then further explained the use of python.

The program provided guidance on starting these conversations and finding different career options that may have been overlooked and empowering them with knowledge. It paved way for setting career pathway goals.
