THE JOY OF READING - BOOK DONATION DRIVE: 14 FEBRUARY 2023 – LIBRARY COMMITTEE IN ASSOCIATION WITH DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH

The Department of English and library organized a “Book Donation Drive-Share the Joy of Reading” on the occasion of ‘Library Lover’s Day’ on 14 February 2023. As the saying goes ‘sharing is caring’ Prof. Umamaheswari and Ms. Dheenadhayalini were in charge of this event. Faculty members and 50 students from the various department also participated in the event. Collection of children books like story books, novels, comics, readers, digest, dictionary, picture visualization books and lot more books.

After the books were collected, few students along with Prof. Madhuramozhi (HOD – English), Prof. Sushma K M and Ms. Dheenadhyalini visited the SFS school and donated the books after discussing with the Principal of SFS State Board School. The school management and the students were thrilled to receive the books and it encouraged them to read more books to widen their horizon. This event motivated our degree students to understand the value of sharing among the less fortunate.
