AMIZADE 2022- VIRTUAL ALUMNI: 26 MARCH 2022 - DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGY, POSTGRADUATE CENTRE
The Department of Psychology, Postgraduate Centre conducted its first Virtual Alumni Meet-
Amizade 2022 on 26 th March 2022. The virtual alumni meet was a platform for all the passed-out
batches to come under a single platform and share their experiences. The event was conducted
using Google meet as the platform. A total of 40 alumni, students and faculty participated in the
virtual meet.
The meeting commenced with the video of the College followed by a short video presentation
compiled by Baptist Milton of first year MSc, which included memories and photographs of all the
passed out and current batches and the various activities of the department. Once the video ended,
Prof Dakshina, Department In-charge briefed the students about the Alumni association of the
college and its activities. The next programme that followed was a cultural entertainment for the
students. After the cultural entertainment, time came for the alumni interaction. Prof. Mamatha
invited the passed-out students to share their experience with the current batches.
Jithin Abraham, alumnus of batch 2019-21 began the interaction by sharing his experiences of the
college and the course. Each and every alumnus was given a chance to share about their experiences
at SFS and their present job roles and profiles. All of them shared good experiences about the
college and department. Many of them mentioned specifically about how the internships were
helping them in their job roles.
Objective of the session was to provide a common platform for all the students of the department to
come together. This created a lot of enthusiasm among both the current and passed-out batches
and they came together to make this event a grand success. Through the interaction that the
batches had with each other, they were able to understand about how it feels to be practically
applying what you study through your postgraduation. The interaction was an eye opener for the
current batch of students.
