NCC ANNUAL DAY: 3 APRIL 2023 - NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC), KARNATAKA CIVIL DEFENCE (KCD) AND ROVERS & RANGERS

The cadets of St Francis de Sales College organized the NCC Annual Day on 3rd of April 2023 under the leadership of our Associate NCC Officer, Capt. Sampath Kumar R. The theme for this year annual day was “Sambhrama” which in Sanskrit means celebration. It symbolizes elixir of energy, inspiration and new ideas. The event was commenced with strength of 300 participants which includes cadets, KCD Wardens, Rovers and Rangers, ex-cadets, students, parents and staffs.

Col. M R Suresh, Commanding Officer, 1 KAR BN NCC was the chief guest and Mr. Purushottam, Additional Superintendent of Police was invited as the special guest of the program. Lt. Col Ravindra Singh, Adam Officer of 1 KAR BN NCC, Chinnswamy Reddy, and State Commissioner Adult Resources were the Guests of Honor. Narendra Kumar, District Secretary, Bharat Scouts & Guides, various media personnel, other dignitaries were also part of the program. The guests were welcomed by guard mounting and were escorted by the pilots leading to the commencement of 12th NCC Annual Day.

As every year, NCC release annual newsletter named Chethana and Vaibhava – The annual newsletter of Rovers & Rangers was also released this year. The NCC and SFS Management introduced the NCC Social Welfare Award, “Spoorthi Ratna”. This special award was presented to Ms. Nagaratna, Home Guard. The cadets actively participated in this event with a great spirit of enthusiasm. The main motto of annual day was to reminisce all the activities conducted throughout the year and it turned out to be a grand success and this was a wonderful opportunity to showcase their talents and triumphs.
