ALUMNI COLLABORATION ON ANDROID STUDIO-AN INTRODUCTION & SCOPE FOR
CAREER BUILDING: 6 NOVEMBER 2021 - DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS
Department of Computer Application organized an Alumni Collaboration programme to V semester
BCA students on 6 th November 2021. The main objective of the collaboration is to bridge the gap
between the college and alumni. Alumni will train the final year students in learning latest
technology Android Studio 4.0 and guide them in completion of mini academic projects. Android
Studio is the new official IDE for Android. Version 1 was developed in Eclipse.
Mr. Harsha (Alumini Batch 2017-20) began the interaction and emphasised on learning android
through offline methods and online video contents. The biggest downfall of most online platforms,
especially the free ones, is that they consist of only video content, where students watch a video and
dedicate enough to come up with your own projects, work on those projects, actually practice and
learn, then it's great. He also told most of us don’t try to implement on the application development after investing time in learning through online videos. They have also shared their personal experiences with students in learning android studio and importance of developing application on the same platform. Many students volunteered to take up the course and complete their project
from the alumni.
