TRIBUTE CEREMONY FOR CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF GEN. BIPIN RAWAT – 9 DECEMBER 2021 – NATIONAL CADET CORPS (NCC)

On 9 th December 2021, under the guidance of our ANO Lt. Sampath Kumar R, the NCC Unit of SFS College conducted a tribute ceremony in the campus where in 90 cadets took part actively along with the civil students of the college.

On 8 th December 2021, due to the sudden demise of Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Bipin Rawat along with the crew of 14 members which included his wife Madhulika Rawat, Brigadier L S Lidden, Lt. Col Harginder Singh, Naik Jitender K R, Lance Naik Vivek Kumar, Lance Naik B Sai Teja, Hawaldar Satpal, Group Capt. Of Indian Air Force Varun Singh S C and 4 others due to a tragic flight crash near Coonor which took away the lives of the brave hearts on board. To commemorate the loss of our true soldiers a tribute ceremony was held where wreath was offered and candles were lit in front of Gen. Bipin Rawat’s photo by the Principal Rev. Dr Roy P K, Vice – Principal Rev. Fr. Jijo Jose, Associate NCC Officer Lt. Sampath Kumar R, cadets and the civil students. Later, the gathering observed a minute of silence. The ceremony was concluded by the address of ANO Lt. Sampath Kumar R where he talked about the bravery and contribution of the martyrs to the nation and were dispersed.
