Workshop on First Semester Optional English Syllabus as Per NEP -2020: 13 January 2022 – IQAC & Department of English, SFS College in Association with Bangalore University English Teachers’ Association & Government First Grade College, Vijayanagar

The IQAC and department of English St. Francis de Sales College in collaboration with the Bangalore University English Teachers’ Association and Government First Grade College, Vijayanagar cordially organized a Workshop titled “First Semester Optional English Syllabus as Per NEP -2020” at 3:30pm, on the 13 th of January 2022.

Dr. Thammaiha - Academic Council Member Bangalore University BEUTA, inaugurated the workshop. Dr. Fahmeeda P, Member of BOS, Bangalore University, a keynote speaker, pointed out the objectives of NEP-2020 and all the papers of Optional English of UG Course had been introduced. Key note speaker also stated about General Proposed Learning Outcomes which are expected in NEP Syllabus and students could have hands- on work experience at the end of the graduation course.

The first speaker of the day, Prof. Shruthi T, a text book committee member, Department of English Government First Grade College, Peenya, Bangaluru and the Second speaker of the workshop Dr. Maduromozhi V, a text book committee member, Department of English St. Francis de Sales College briefed on the Introduction to Literature and Indian Writing in English Part I (Pre-Independence) respectively.

Rev. Dr. Roy the Principal of SFS College, had delivered his thought in his presidential address about the workshop and expressed his gratefulness for organizing the workshop of New Text books on NEP-2020 in association with BEUTA. He said that we need to be proud that the Bangalore University is the first University for having implemented the NEP-2020 in the state and country. He congratulated all the speakers for giving the clear picture about the text and thanked the IQAC team for organizing the workshop.
