WEBINAR ON RESEARCH, INNOVATION, AND RANKIN0G: 11TH AUGUST 2021 – ASPIRE ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND INCUBATION CELL

The objective of the National Education Policy 2020 is to Revamp the higher education system, create world class institutions across the country – increase Gross Enrolment Ratio to at least 50% by 2035. A new vision and architecture for higher education has been envisaged with large, well- resourced, vibrant multidisciplinary institutions. The policy has a multi-disciplinary, value-based approach focusing on holistic education along with life-skills with special emphasis on skill development to improve high employability rate among our students. The policy will help to transform the education sector in the country as it focuses on making education accessible, equitable, inclusive but only if implemented at all levels.

MoEs’ Innovation Cell and AICTE organized the National Webinar on Research, Innovation, and Ranking on 11 th August 10:30 am as part of the one-year celebration of National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Honble Minister of State for Education and External Affairs, Govt. of India was the ‘Chief Guest’ for the program. Prof. K. Vijay Raghavan, Principal Scientific Advisor, Govt. of India was the ‘Guest of Honor’. The programme was conducted via YouTube live streaming.

NEP gives a special focus on the National Research Foundation because innovation is one of the most important parts for a country to progress. The speaker gave an overview about Intellectual Property Rights with special reference to publication exploration work which is applicable in the scholastic field.
