INFINITY: GUEST LECTURE SERIES - MEDIA LITERACY: 25 OCTOBER 2021 - DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES IN COLLABORATION WITH RESEARCH AND IP CELL

The Department of Humanities in collaboration with Research and IP Cell organized INFINITY- One Week Guest Lecture Series from 25-10-2021 till 26-10-2021. The Infinity guest lecture series focuses on nurturing the research culture among the under graduate students of St Francis De Sales College. The major objectives of the guest lecture series are to bring in opportunities for students to learn new and acquire knowledge. Students get an idea regarding the career paths and the future goals that need to be set. It inspires and initiates interactive learning among students.

As a part of the guest lecture, on 25-10-2021, the Department organized a two-hour session for Journalism with the topic “MEDIA LITERACY.” Dr. Shilpa Kalyan is an Assistant Professor of Presidency University, Bangalore. Her major focus was on Media, the fake news and the many aspects related to it. She has completed her PhD, and she has done many projects and presented papers in many national and International Conferences. The session on Medial Literacy created an overall impact among fake news. She made the session exciting by doing activities that engages students and the faculties.
