GRAN MENTE - NURTURING GREAT MINDS: 10 TH AND 11 TH OCTOBER 2021 - PSYLIGHT CLUB, DEPT. OF PSYCHOLOGY, POSTGRADUATE CENTRE

Gran Mente (Nurturing Great Minds) on the occasion of World Mental Health Day 2021 was organized by PsyLight Club, Dept. of Psychology, Postgraduate Centre on 10 th and 11 th of October 2021. PsyLight Club organizes World Mental Health Day every year.

The objective was to spread awareness about the importance of Mental Health, spread happiness and celebrate life. Photography and Caption Writing competitions were organized through online platform. Short film and Documentary focused on bringing awareness among people about improving mental health and were live streamed through YouTube channel.

Offline events were planned for 11 th October 2021. The event began with activities, representing the importance and practice in the field of Psychology. The Mirage (Perception and Illusion), Sherlock Holmes (Puzzle solving), explanation about the field, wish tree, open mic and many more were organized for the offline event.

The event showed that the department focuses on spreading awareness about mental health and team work is important to achieve it. The event made students to think different and unique, work together, be creative, improved communication skills, increased belongingness, learning commitment, dedication and determination for social cause. An excellent team work, dedication, commitment and determination brought success to the event. Gran Mente undoubtedly succeeded attaining the objectives of the event. Mind Matters!
