Gravity Of Research In The Field Of Commerce_Department of Commerce_22 nd February 2021

The Orientation Session on “GRAVITY OF RESEARCH IN THE FIELD OF COMMERCE” was held on 22 nd February 2021 through the online G-suite platform. The resource person for the session was Professor Druva Kumar, HOD of the Commerce Department, St Francis de Sales College. The session aimed to facilitate quality undergraduate researchers by making them aware of the importance of research.

Research is an integral aspect of every society and in a bid to expand the frontiers of knowledge, educational research must become a priority. It is an existing body of knowledge by providing solutions to different problems in pedagogy while improving teaching and learning practices. Educational researchers also seek answers to questions bothering on learner-motivation, development, and classroom management. Prof Druva Kumar explained how Educational research plays a vital role in the overall development of pedagogy, learning programs, and policy formulation.

The session was attended by more than 300 students of 1st year B.Com. The session helped the students to get an idea about research and its importance in the current scenario.
