INDUSTRIAL VISIT & INDUSTRY INTERFACE SESSION

INDUSTRY ACADEMY CELL in association with DESMA Department of Business Administration organised an Industrial Visit to SOUTH INDIAN BANK, SFS College Extension, Electronic City, Bangalore for 1 st year BBA (Regular) students on 10 th of February 2021. This industrial visit was intended to empower the students in Indian finance, understand the history and functionalities of the bank and also to have practical knowledge of the South Indian Bank. After completing the visit the students were taken back to college campus for a session. Ms. Ann Tresa Roby P & Ms. Srisha, the representatives of South Indian Bank were invited to deliver the presentation about their branch. The session started at 12:00pm. Ms. Geetha PS, Coordinator of the department welcomed the Resource persons.

Ms Ann Tresa Roby P & Ms. Srisha, staff at South Indian Bank provided insights about the history of SIB, its Vision and Mission, organisation structure, various services offered to customers like SIB mirror app, debit cards & credit card usages, online banking services for paying the fee , insurance products, mutual fund, systematic investment plans and national pension schemes. The session concluded at 1:00pm

The visit to bank and a session with bank representatives gave the students an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge about banking industry. It was an informative session and the students got a practical exposure.
