On 26th of July 2024 a total of 12 cadets from SFS degree college belonging to 1/1 COY ARMY WING of 1 KAR BN NCC witnessed a momentous occasion Kargil Vijay Diwas at ANEKAL.
Kargil Vijay Diwas is a significant day in Indian history, commemorating the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers who fought valiantly to defend our nation's sovereignty during the Kargil War in 1999. To honor their memory and pay tribute to their sacrifices, a program was conducted at SFS DEGREE COLLEGE on July 26, 2024.
The program began with a motivational video session, showcasing the courage and valor of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War. The videos highlighted the challenges faced by our troops and their triumph over adversity. This was followed by a tribute-paying ceremony, where cadets and faculty members paid their respects to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation.
Our cadets prepared thought-provoking posters, which were displayed during the program. These posters depicted the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas, the bravery of Indian soldiers, and the importance of patriotism.
After the program, our college cadets visited the Amar Jawan Jyoti, a memorial dedicated to the unknown soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the nation. The cadets paid their respects by laying wreaths and observing a moment of silence, honoring the memory of the brave martyrs.
The Kargil Vijay Diwas celebration at our college was a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by our soldiers to protect our nation. Through this program, we aimed to inspire our cadets and students to emulate the values of courage, discipline, and patriotism exhibited by our brave soldiers. We hope to continue this tradition and honor the memory of our martyrs every year.
We would like to thank our CO COL. M R Suresh, AO Lt. COL. Ram Das Verma, SM Rohith, Principal Rev Fr Binu, Vice Principal Fr Albin and our ANO Capt. Sampath Kumar R for providing their constant guidance and support.
