On 14th July 2024, a total of fifteen Cadets from SFS degree college belonging to 1/1 COY ARMY WING of 1 KAR BN NCC took part in Awareness Program for Young Minds by Armed Forces

The cadets from our college had the honor of attending an awareness program for young minds organized by the parents of martyred Captain MV Pranjal. This significant event aimed to inspire and educate the youth about the valor and sacrifices of the armed forces, fostering a sense of patriotism and responsibility among the participants. The program was meticulously planned and executed, with cadets participating in various roles such as piloting, tray girls, and RV reporting personnel. Their involvement was crucial in ensuring the smooth running of the event, demonstrating the discipline and commitment instilled by NCC training. The event was graced by several distinguished guests: Maj Gen VT Mathew, AVSM, YSM,The chief guest, who shared his invaluable experiences and insights from his distinguished military career.Mr. Ajith Hanumankkanavar Head of News and Programming at Asianet Suvarna News, who emphasized the importance of media in shaping public perception and awareness about national security.Mrs. Lalita Secretary of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, who highlighted the role of education in building a strong and informed nation. Wing Commander Girish Kumar (Retd.) and Mrs. Meghna Girish: Parents of martyred Major Akshay Girish, who shared their personal stories of bravery and sacrifice, leaving a profound impact on the attendees. Lt. Colonel Ruchi Dubey An army woman officer who motivated the young students and cadets with an inspiring presentation, encouraging them to pursue careers in the armed forces and to serve the nation with dedication.

The distinguished guests delivered motivational speeches, encouraging the youth to take pride in their country and consider careers in the armed forces. Cadets engaged in interactive sessions with the guests, asking questions and learning about the diverse aspects of military life and national service. Army Pipe Band: The army pipe band showcased a medley of patriotic songs, adding a touch of musical tribute to the event.

Presentation by Lt. Colonel Ruchi Dubey: A powerful PowerPoint presentation that inspired the young audience and highlighted the significance of women in the armed forces. The awareness program was a resounding success, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the organizers and the active participation of our NCC cadets. The event not only educated the young minds about the armed forces but also instilled a deep sense of patriotism and respect for those who serve the nation. The addition of the army pipe band's performance and the inspiring presentation by Lt. Colonel Ruchi Dubey further enriched the program. The event concluded with refreshments, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and motivation. This memorable experience will undoubtedly inspire the cadets to uphold the values of courage, discipline, and service in their future endeavors.
