On 15th of August 2024 cadets from SFS degree college belonging to 1/1 COY ARMY WING of 1 KAR BN NCC participated in the 78th Independence Day.

Independence Day celebrations often encompass a variety of events performances that reflect a nation's pride, cultural diversity, and military strength.

The Independence Day celebrations typically begin with the arrival of a chief guest, the Director of Karnataka and Goa, Lt Col Sajay Bisht. The chief guest was escorted by our pilots, upon arrival, the guest is greeted with a formal Guard of Honour salute. Dance performances play a crucial role in showcasing the cultural heritage of the nation. They add color and vibrancy to the Independence Day celebrations. The marchpast is a central event of the Independence Day celebrations, symbolizing the unity and strength of the nation’s defense forces on that note, Cadets also took part in the contingent drill. In the morning Cadets also took part in a tri–Ranga Rally where the Cadets Incorporated a rally walk by holding the national flags. In a special segment of the celebration, cadets participated in a tree plantation activity, symbolizing their commitment to environmental conservation where, 100 Saplings were planted by our Cadets. By the end of the day cadets were engaged with a fun activity like drawing competition and digital logo making where cadets actively participated in all the competitions with great zill and enthusiasm.
