Infinity Guest Lecture Series- Research on Socioeconomic impact of COVID-19 on the rural economy- Department of Economics, Post graduate Centre- January 9, 2021.

Eikonomica Club, Department of Economics, Postgraduate Centre, in association with Research & IP Cell organized a guest lecture on “Research on Socio Economic impact of COVID-19 on the Rural Economy” on 8 th January 2021. Dr. Kumuda D, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, Bangalore North University, Kolar, Karnataka was the resource person for the session. She spoke about the gravity of socioeconomic impact on the rural economy with statistical information and discussed about the current researches happening in this field. She also provided suggestions to this problem and recommended various policy measures to be taken to avoid these circumstances in future.

The webinar provided an insight into the challenges faced by the rural India in relation to socioeconomic policies. The speaker urged the students to take up research on such issues which can work towards eliminating socioeconomic problems in the society.
