71st Republic Day – Organised by the NCC: Jan 26, 2020

The 71st Republic Day of the Nation was celebrated with much pride and honour on Jan 26, 2020 at 7:30 am .The program began with the Introduction about the celebration of 71st Republic Day. The program was graced by Sepoy Narendra Govindappa, as the Chief Guest, in the presence of Rev. Dr. Roy, the Principal, Rev. Fr. Jijo Jose, the Vice Principal, Lt Sampath Kumar, ANO and Prof Karibasavanagowda, NSS Officer.

The National Flag was hoisted by the Rev Dr Roy. In his address, the Principal explained the meaning of being a Republic and also explained the reason for Jan 26 being chosen as the Republic Day (Jan 26, 1930 Was When “Poorna Swaraj” Was Declared). He also exhorted the need to “Live Patriotism” with acts of selfless service to all peoples.

The Ceremony was organized by the NCC Cadets with a strength of 100 Cadets along with the KCD Wardens, NSS Volunteers and other students of the College.
