The Postgraduate students and faculty gathered in the Business Hall of the college to celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th March, 2019. The programme started with a prayer by our PG student, Ms. Supriya Skylight. The prayer was followed by Prof. Mamatha’s short note on the significance of celebrating womanhood, their roles and achievements. Fr. Jijo Jose, the Vice Principal felicitated the UG students who secured distinction in the select subjects last semester. The highlight of the programme was the felicitation of the only woman vehicle driver of our SFS Institutions in the Campus, Ms. Jeshana.

After felicitations, the students of the PG Centre performed a very lively and entertaining skit. The Vice-Principal then shared his views on Women’s Day while Prof. Gurubasavaraja sang a sweet song glorifying the achievements of women. Mr. Nikhil, the Student Chairperson, shared the role of women in his life. The programme ended with vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Velangani. After the programme, two saplings were planted in the SFS Woods by the PG faculty and students to commemorate the day.
