The NSS Annual Day was held on Sep 24, 2018. The programme commenced at 2 pm with the NSS Volunteers participating actively. After the prayer, the Chief Guest Dr Poornima Jogi(NSS Implementing Officer, NSS Cell, Vikas Soudha) was welcomed and introduced to the gathering. In her speech, she expressed her happiness in being part of the programme at the commencement of the Golden Jubilee Year of the presence of NSS in India. She also inspired the students to give greater importance to their inner qualities and forming a personality that speaks more of the “character” than merely externals.

Fr Dr Roy, the Principal in his address commended the efforts of the students and encouraged them to participate in such activities and to have a holistic development – a healthy balance between academics, extra-curricular activities and social service.

The NSS volunteers also put up a number of programmes like dance and mime and displayed their talents and abilities. Prizes were also distributed to the winners of the various competitions that were held prior to the NSS Day.

The College appreciates and congratulates all the NSS Volunteers for their substantial service and places on record the coordinating efforts of Prof Karibasavanagowda, the NSS Coordinator.
