FACULTY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME 2016 -17

“The Joy of Research and Journal Paper Writing”

St. Francis de Sales College organised a Faculty Development Programme on 30th July 2016. Resource person for the FDP was Dr. Samuel Johnson K MBA,. MA (Education), Ph.D., VIT University, Chennai Campus. He has conducted more than 500 Faculty Development programmes for various colleges and Universities across in India, and over 100 outbound training programmes with a strong passion on research activities. He has also conducted training programmes for International Delegates from various countries like, Germany, Poland, Ivory Coast, Mauritius, Sudan, Tanzania, Korea, Yemen, Myanmar and Botswana, Spain, USA, Australia etc.,

The main motive of this Faculty Development Programme was to develop a strong attention on research skills among the faculties, where they can empower and encourage the students to do their research projects. This programme mainly focused on the core knowledge on research, the purpose of research and publications. The topics covered in this session are Critical review of literature, Research & Paper publication, Research tools, and Publication tools as well as how to access it. His high quality of instruction filled us with the great knowledge on research. We thank the management for giving us this wonderful opportunity. Thanks to Fr. Dr. Herold Christopher and our sincere Thanks to Dr. Samuel Johnson K for sharing his immense knowledge and ideas with us.
