Workshop on Tally - Department of BCA: 24th Sep 2019

A workshop on Tally was organized for the II year BCA students on September 24, 2019. It was led by Mr. Tulsi Nayak who works for one of the leading Finance companies of India. The session was from 9 am to 2 pm and held in the Computer Lab.

Initially, Mr Tulsi gave an introduction to accounting and explained about the golden rules. First and foremost, he theoretically explained about Tally; later the practical session was taken. The session was very interesting, and a good understanding of the subject was given with the hands-on experience. Most of the features of Tally, was explained within the 6 hours of duration. Some of the topics covered: Basic tally features, Configuration, creating a company trading and non-trading. Creating groups, ledgers, Creating various vouchers, Trading and profit and loss account, Sales book, Sales return book, Purchase return book etc.

He captivated the interest of the students from the beginning till the very end. The vibrant style of engaging the classes fascinated the students in the world of accounting. The students benefitted much with this workshop by way of gaining much practical knowledge.
